SAFEGUARDING
IS EVERYBODY’S BUSINESS
At Honley, we take safeguarding very seriously and are committed to safeguarding children and promoting their emotional and physical welfare. We expect all staff, parents, governors and visitors to share this commitment and support our students and safeguarding team in creating a safe environment by remaining vigilant and placing the child's welfare above all other concerns.
If you suspect a child is suffering abuse or neglect, or you are concerned for their emotional or physical wellbeing, you have a responsibility to act without delay and report your concerns to a member of the safeguarding team.
Mrs Halliday, the Designated Safeguarding Lead, is the main contact for any safeguarding concerns. However, safeguarding worries can be reported to any member of the Safeguarding Team. They can be contacted by email or by phoning the school on 01484 506484.
Are you worried about online sexual abuse or the way someone has been communicating with you online?
Report it to a Child Protection Advisor at CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection)
The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) aims to keep children and young people safe from sexual abuse and grooming online.
Parents, carers and children can report a concern about child sexual abuse or online exploitation to the CEOP Safety Centre.
ANY CHILD IN IMMEDIATE DANGER SHOULD ALWAYS CONTACT 999 FIRST.
You can report any concerns via the click CEOP image or click www.ceop.police.uk/safety-centre/.
