CAREERS ADVISER
Meet our Careers Adviser, Mrs Amy Hesselgrove
Mrs Hesselgrove, our Careers Adviser from C&K Careers, provides independent, impartial specialist careers information, advice and guidance for all students.
For Year 11 students, leaving school can be worrying for students and Amy aims to help make that transition from school to college, work or training as smooth as possible, by discussing options, placing them into training and acting as an advocate on behalf of students with colleges and training providers. A key aim of her work is to reduce the number of students who do not move into education or training and to support all students to take the next steps onto a successful career path.
All Year 11 students are offered an individual career interview with Mrs Hesselgrove to help them choose their next steps after Year 11. She also helps students to apply for college courses, training places, apprenticeships and jobs.
Students in all year groups are also welcome to contact Mrs Hesselgrove if they have any questions or would like information about career options.
The wide range of options, courses and qualifications on offer can be confusing, no less so for parents as well as students. Mrs Hesselgrove is also happy to talk to parents/carers who would like to discuss their son or daughter’s future plans.
Mrs Hesselgrove’s normal working days are: Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and she can be contacted on 01484 506484 when in school, or at other times on 01484 213351 or by email at amy.hesselgrove@ckcareers.org.uk.
